Equipment

  • A medium saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • A small strainer
  • A whisk or spoon
  • Airtight storage jar

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Sugar
  • 3 TBSP Lavender
  • 2 cups Filtered water

Instructions

  • To begin, add filtered water and sugar in a saucepan. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Bring the sugar mixture to a light boil and let boil for 5 minutes.
  • Add 3 tbsp Lavender, stir and remove from the heat.
  • Set aside until completely cool.
  • Once cool, strain the lavender buds from the simple syrup
  • Transfer to an airtight storage jar.
  • Use immediately or store in the fridge for later use. Use within 3-4 weeks or freeze for long term storage
