Easy Homemade Ranch Salad Dressing Recipe

This homemade ranch dressing is one of the easiest condiments to make! Whether you need it for a salad or for a quick dipping sauce to enjoy, you’ll love having this recipe! Even with using dried herbs, this dressing provides a bright and fresh flavor to any application.

Ingredients In Ranch Dressing

The base of this dressing is milk and homemade mayonnaise. Using raw milk in the base allows this dressing to have a smooth and creamy texture with a little extra protein and healthy probiotics. Adding some homemade mayonnaise also contributes to a smooth and creamy texture. Mayonnaise also helps all the ingredients to bind together for a consistent flavor in every drop!

The rest of the recipe consists of herbs and seasonings including parsley, garlic powder, onion powder and sea salt. While you can use fresh options, this recipe calls to use dried ingredients. This allows you to keep all the ingredients on hand so you can make this delicious recipe at a moment’s notice. Using dried ingredients also allows you to make the mix in bulk and scoop some out when you need it.

Serving Ranch Dressing

Most commonly, I see ranch dressing used for a salad dressing. However, you can also use it to accompany a veggie tray, chips, crackers, pretzels, bread or as a dipping sauce for anything else!

Other Ways To Use Ranch Dressing

While ranch dressing is typically used with salad or a veggie tray, it can also be used for other applications like a sauce for dipping crispy potatoes or chicken kabobs at a barbeque.

Adding a bit more milk to this dressing can thin it out. Having a thinner consistency will allow this to be used as a chicken marinade!
