Christmas Cookie Baking Tips

Mix Your Dough and Freeze It

If you are looking ahead to your Christmas festivities and don’t think you can pull off mixing AND baking a bunch of cookies before every party or get-together, I get it!! When you find a pocket of time to mix some cookie dough, mix up a double batch of cookie dough and freeze them! When you want cookies, you can simply pull out what kind of cookie you want to bring, prepare your baking sheet and bake!

Freezing cookie dough is a giant time saver when you know you’ll want cookies at a later date but know you won’t have much time to do everything.

Mix Multiple Doughs On The Same Day

When you can set aside some time to mix up some cookie dough, your bowl is already dirty with (likely) the same or very similar ingredients. So, why not mix up another kind of cookie while your tools are already dirty? You get twice the cookie dough and only have to wash your tools once!

The only time I recommend skipping this tip is if you’re making a separate kind of cookie that will be for someone with allergies to a specific ingredient.

Mix up more than one batch

When you’re mixing up a batch of cookies for one event, go ahead and double or triple the recipe and freeze what you don’t use. When you get short notice of needing to make a sweet treat, you can pull the dough out of the freezer and bake with ease!
