Easy Crispy Bacon in the Oven
Whether you’re making bacon with breakfast or as an ingredient for lunch or dinner, you may not want to cook it on the stovetop. This is where baking bacon in the oven comes in!
Not only does baking your bacon make less mess on your stove top but it allows you to cook all your breakfast goodies at the same time so they’re all hot when served.
The Pan for Baking your Bacon
The pan that you choose for baking can be a bit more important than you think. Based on the qualities of the pan, the bacon may not cook evenly, as fast or too fast.
Don’t forget to save that grease!
While bacon grease can be an amazing ingredient to add to roasted vegetables like potatoes or brussel sprouts, it can also be used to season cast iron or as a cooking oil for eggs.
To save this delicious oil for later, strain the drippings into a glass container. Let the jar and the oil cool to room temperature. If you’re not going to use the grease soon, transfer to the fridge for longer storage.
