Recipe tips
Tip #1 Changing the lavender flavor strength
Although this recipe calls for three tablespoons of lavender, the amount of floral flavor can be changed. You can also change the length of time you steep the lavender for.
This recipe results in a pretty subtle lavender flavor. If you desire a more pronounced lavender flavor in your lemonade, add an additional tablespoon of lavender to the simple syrup and steep until your desired strength is achieved.
Tip #2 Make extra and make it into ice cubes.
If you’re serving this at a barbecue or shower event, then I recommended making extra lavender lemonade and freezing it in ice cube trays . Having ice cubes with the same flavor will ensure this beverage stays flavorful and cool throughout the event.
Tip #3 Only use culinary lavender
Lavender air fresheners, essential oils and fragrance pouches are commonly found in many stores. Although they may all have a base of lavender, they are not created The same and may contain toxic ingredients or pesticides. Always purchase culinary Lavender buds from a reputable source.
